The Ultimate Notebook Wallet

Designed in collaboration with Maxlvledc, the Sidekick is a durable, pocket-friendly notebook wallet built with waxed canvas, pen loop and versatile storage for notebooks, cards, cash, and a pen. See how it stands out!

My goal was to have less screen time on my phone typing up notes, and this Sidekick helps tremendously. The ability to access a notepad and pen as easily as pulling out your phone makes the Sidekick so appealing for taking notes.

— Ryan H.

Because it is a light-woven canvas, it won't slip out of my pocket like leather wallets. It has room for all my credit cards, money, and other ID cards, and it is still the thinnest wallet I own.

— Ken G.

The sidekick is just so versatile in the selections of horizontal and vertical slip pockets and the sizing selections. I can't believe something so minimalist can be so versatile.

— Chris B.

Having a pen and paper always with me is a game changer, and it's still slim enough to not feel out of place.

    Awesome EDC wallet

The sidekick is big enough to carry a pen, small notebook, cards, cash and whatever else you can think to stash away, yet small enough for your back pocket. Perfect addition to my every day carry. I am also hooked on that honeycomb hue.

    Awesome!

Very nice wallet. There are 3 horizontal slots on the left side that I think you can comfortably put 2 cards in each slot. Behind that is an area to put a little cash or whatever else. It's not big enough put bills without folding but its also quite a bit bigger space than folding bills in half.

On the opposite side there is a vertical card slot along with another smaller vertical pocket. Not sure what all the smaller one could be used for but I saw someone put a utility knife there so I felt that was a great idea. If you go that route just be aware it takes a VERY compact knife to go there. The cars slot on this side I think could also fit a couple cards comfortably but I chose to put a tyvek sleeve with a sticker on it to hold my insurance and other cards. Behind all this another big pocket. I've put a small notebook behind it. This was my main reason for getting this as I am becoming increasingly forgetful the older I get and this way I can write down anything important or any various ideas or things I need to to in it.

Lastly on the inner spine is a slot for a pen or perhaps a similar shaped tool/screwdriver if that's your thing. Since i have the notebook I went with a pen.

All in all it's a fantastic wallet that holds plenty while remaining relatively compact. I've really enjoyed carrying it so far and if it is of interest to you the price is much cheaper than other nicer/leather wallets so couldn't hurt too much to give it a try.

    Love the size

I thought I'll never need another Lochby, but here it is. New Sidekick that perfectly fits in my back pocket. Love the penholder. It fits and protects my Traveler's Company pen. Then I found Noble Note A7 notes and added Field Notes' calendar and like this set up so much.

    The One

This is it!, and I bought extras, and will be getting the different colors also. A7 size Notebook, full size minimal pen, credit and debt card, ID, insurance, dental, prescription card. I have a few stored bills in it, and still closes flat without the bulk. Thanks to Maxlvledc on YouTube for bringing this product to my attention, exactly what I have been looking for, for a long time. Thank you Lochby for making this product.

More than a notebook wallet — more like a micro EDC case

I like EDC. I'm not a nut about it, but I do enjoy the feeling of being prepared, and I like useful gear. For a few years now I've experimented trying to find the right EDC kit for my lifestyle...and after hundreds of dollars spent and all kinds of cool gear assembled, you know what I found?

99% of the time, 99% of that gear stays at home. I don't carry the pens, the knives, or the flashlights, because it's too inconvenient to do so. Working from home and leaving the house at random, I usually just grab my wallet, phone, and keys. The bare minimum—but that leaves me without a pen, notebook, or knife.

Enter the Sidekick. I bought it on impulse despite being extremely happy with the Bellroy wallet that has been my faithful companion for the past 6-7 years. At $30, I figured it would be worth a look, and I had no idea just how much potential this wallet would provide.

Reference the attached pictures to see just how much gear I keep in this thing—literally, a full micro EDC kit, with:

    - 9 credit cards/IDs/membership cards (including an oversized one that never fit will in my Bellroy wallet)

    - 5 business cards (thicker ones)

    - 6 folded US currency notes (could hold more)

    - 1 Sharpie S-Gel pen (fits very well)

    - 1 Apica C.D. notebook (fits very well)

    - 3 medium sized Band Aides

-1 Victorinox Classic SD Alox (you want the Alox version—the regular version is about twice as thick and doesn't fit nearly as well)

-1 paperclip to hold the Victorinox into its pocket (maybe not…

It’s great to know the pockets, size, and build quality are hitting the mark and that it’s encouraging you to actually carry your gear rather than leaving it at home.
