Some ideas begin with a sketch. This one began with a survey.
Since 2024, you’ve shared thousands of insights with us. And we don’t just skim—we read every single one. We look for patterns, connect the dots, and figure out how to bring your ideas to life.

You Asked. We Listened.
Again and again, you asked for an EDC organizer. Not quite a wallet. Not quite a bag. You weren’t looking for just another pouch—you wanted a smaller, smarter way to carry your everyday tools.
You wanted something compact—something that could slip into a jacket or bag, but still hold its own. It had to stand upright on a desk, stay open while you worked, and keep everything within reach.

You also told us how much you loved the two-sided layout of the Venture Pouch—how it opened flat, laid everything out clearly, and made organizing simple.
So our design team asked: what if we shrunk that idea down, just for you?
What Stayed: That Smart Two-Sided Setup
Shrinking it down wasn’t just about making it smaller—it was about keeping what you already loved. And at the very top of that list was the dual-sided design.
That setup worked so well in the Venture Pouch because it let you split things up: pens, cables, or small tools on one side, and bulkier items—or even a notebook—on the other.
The benefit? You could load it up without things knocking into each other.

Everything stayed easier to grab, easier to organize, and even in better shape over time. And since the compartments are split, you can always flip to the side you want first.
What Changed: Size + Zipper = Smoother Access
The next step was usability—and that started with size. You wanted something slimmer than the Venture Pouch, but still practical. So we tested a bunch of versions, from extra thin to a little chunky, until we landed on the one that felt right in hand and worked best in use.
We also revisited a piece of feedback we’d heard again and again: the zipper on the Venture Pouch didn’t open quite wide enough. It wasn’t a deal breaker, but you told us it could be better.

So on the Mini Venture Pouch, we redesigned the zipper placement to open wider—making it easier to see everything inside and grab what you need without fuss.
The Road To ‘Just Right’
The idea was solid, but getting it to feel compact, useful, and fun to use took a few tries. Here’s the journey, version by version:
Version One: The Shrink Ray
We started by literally shrinking the Venture Pouch. Same shape, same two zippers, just smaller.

It looked promising—until we tried to use it. The top opening was too tight, and some items just wouldn’t fit through. With both zippers aligned, there wasn’t a way to expand the opening without breaking the structure.
Quick access was the goal, and this version didn’t quite deliver.

Version Two: Slim and Sleek (But Not Quite)
Next, we leaned into portability. Thin, sleek, and with a wide-opening zipper, this one felt pocketable and looked sharp. It worked great for flat items like cards, receipts, or cables.

But in real-world use? It fell short. It acted more like a wallet than a pouch, and the limited depth meant it couldn’t carry pens or bulkier tools comfortably.

Portability was there, but utility wasn’t.

Version Three: The Final—and the Favorite
This is where it all came together.
We kept the wide-opening zipper from Version Two, but brought back the depth we’d lost. Then we built the pouch around something you already use: the 3.5" x 5.5" pocket notebook. Suddenly, everything fit—pens, cables, chargers, even toiletries. It was compact and capable at the same time.

Along the way, we realized moving the zipper forward had made the top compartment harder to access. So we reworked the interior: adjusted divider height, added volume pleats to the front panel, and gave each compartment a clear role. The outer top became the spot for bulkier, frequently used items. The inner top handled flat gear. The bottom was dedicated to pens and tools.

This version hit the sweet spot. Compact, functional, and built with intention for how you actually use your tools.

And that self-standing structure we built in from the start? It’s more than just helpful—it’s what makes the Mini Venture Pouch stand out. Set it on your desk, flip to the side you need, and everything’s right there.

Whether you’re gearing up for the day or grabbing something on the move, it stays put, stays open, and stays useful.

Small But Mighty
The final version keeps everything you loved about the Venture Pouch—dual-sided organization, rugged materials, and a thoughtful layout—distilled into an everyday, pocketable form.
It feels solid without being bulky. The waxed canvas softens with every carry. The wide-opening zippers make grabbing what you need simple, whether you’re working at your desk or heading out the door.

From tech accessories to tools to stationery, the Mini Venture Pouch keeps it all secure, accessible, and right where you want it.
It may be small, but it’s built to do big things for you.
What Listening Created
Looking back, every version brought us closer—not just in refining the design, but in understanding how you actually use your tools. Testing ideas, learning from real-world use, and making adjustments along the way—that’s what got us here.
The Mini Venture Pouch is the result of listening, patience, and problem-solving. And now, it’s ready for your hands.

I’m going to buy one for my 10 year-old son (he’s turning 10 today) and let you guys know how it goes! He’s into EDC like me and also rocks and bugs and doodles, like an active and curious 10-year-old usually is.
