This includes the aluminum hook closure which adds a touch of sophistication while providing a secure way to keep everything in place.
One Pen Loop
The Field Journal is designed to carry a lot without being bulky which is why it has only one elastic pen loop for your favorite pen.
Aluminum Hook
The decision to use an aluminum hook to secure the Field Journal’s contents, instead of a traditional zipper, is simple: the aircraft grade hook is meant to last a long time. Plus, adjusting the strap depending on what you have inside your Field Journal is also so much easier.
Left Side Pockets
When you open the Field Journal, you’ll see that the left-hand side has a flap and, on top of it, four different pockets for things like cards, additional pens, smaller notebooks (like our Pocket Journal refills), paper clips and clamps, erasers, a short ruler, and the likes. We’ve seen a lot of people put different things in there.
Right Side Pocket
On the right-hand side of the Field Journal is another flap meant for the back of a notebook cover to hold it in place. You can carry up to six of our notebooks inside the Field Journal at the same time, with the left-hand side flap having the same function: simply slip the front cover of your notebook to secure it.
Both the left and right-hand side flaps can fit an iPad Mini or a Kindle!
Elastic Cords
The other four notebooks are secured in place by the elastic cords inside the Field Journal. This makes changing and swapping notebooks out easy! The cords are also widely available and easy to replace.
Bookmarks
Every Field Journal has two grosgrain ribbons that serve as bookmarks so you can find your way around your notebooks.
