What's included in the kit?
The Mini Field Journal plus five pocket notebooks. One dot-grid notebook made with 68gsm Tomoe River paper comes inside the journal. The kit adds four more — ruled, grid, planner (35 weeks), and plain — so you can set up a notebook for each part of your life from day one and still have a spare ready when one fills up.
What notebook size does it use?
It fits standard 3.5” × 5.5” pocket notebooks, including Field Notes and pocket Moleskine. When you fill one, replace just that notebook rather than the whole system.
How many notebooks does it hold?
Up to four at once. Keep journal entries, plans, ideas, and sketches separate while carrying everything in one compact cover.
Is this a good place to start if I've never journaled before?

How secure is the clasp closure?
The adjustable strap and metal clasp keeps your notebooks together and expands as you add or remove inserts. It opens and closes with one hand, so it's quicker to get into than a zipper.

Yes. The waxed canvas exterior resists everyday moisture and develops more character with use. It's water-resistant rather than waterproof, so avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain or submersion.
