Pocket Journal

I was looking for a pocketable or at least an easily carried journal that could also organize a few day to day items. After looking around for quit some time the Lochby Pocket Journal kept popping up. I probably watched about 50 reviews of Lochby's products and decided to buy. Definitely made the right choice and couldn't be any happier. The Pocket Journal offers plenty of storage both inside and out for day to day items as well as being tailored around a note book for perfect note taking. I have set mine up to hold 6 cards that I might use through out the day but do want to keep in my wallet. There is also room inside for page post-its, a mini work calendar, a few bandaids and sanitize wipe. Behind my note book I keep receipts or any other small pieces of paper or stickers I may acquire during the day. The material inside is a nice bright orange which makes it easy to see the items inside. The material is also a bit translucent so even if you have things tucked completely inside a pocket you can still see that there is an item there. The zipper is perfect. In the past few weeks that I have owned the Pocket Journal I have never had any issues closing it, On the front of the outside there are two small pockets which can house many items from pocket knives to an array of pens. For me the front pockets either hold 2 G-2 pilot pens while I'm at work or for the weekends I will switch them out for my a pocket knife and large bolt action pen. As a teenager, I tried in vain to carry pocket journals. I could never keep them straight. They'd rip and tear, or the pages would fall out. Top/side spiral notebooks would get hung up in my pockets. Or (worst of all) the pens would leak. I eventually gave up.

I found the Lochby Pocket Journal right before my church began a corporate fast. I chose to fast from social media. For 21 days, I leaned on this journal to help my ever-chattering mind. It gave me a place to put schedules and helped me organize random thoughts into clear, cohesive plans. As the days went by, I noticed that it was much easier to pay attention to people when they talked to me. I could remember even the most minute details. I slept better. All because I was able to exercise my mind instead of letting it consume whatever it wanted. The utility of this journal isn't just its convenience. It's the mental obstacles that it removes.

My experience with this journal led me to invest in the Field Journal as well, but more on that later.

I received this pocket journal for Christmas 2023, so I’ve had it for a year and love it. I use it as my workout journal and take it to the gym with me. It’s a perfect size to carry around. I would definitely recommend. I have several Lochby products and just purchased their mini field journal.

I have been looking for a replacement for my leather Field Notes pocket notebook holder. This one from Lochby caught my eye. The waxed canvas is amazing in feel and appearance. I have no doubt over the years the "patina" the waxed canvas will develop will be beautiful. The exterior layout is well thought out with a pocked on the back to hold an additional notebook. On the front there is a pen pocket with an additional double sized pen pocket. The inside is laid out just as well with card pocket and a shorter pen pocket. The zipper is off great quality and coated in a color that accents the pocket journal well. this is an heirloom quality item I expect to get many years of use out of it.

Well made. Looks great. Can hold at least three pocket sized notebooks or variations of other items with your notebook. The canvas with stretch as you use it to accommodate the items stored. I’m looking forward to seeing the changes as it wears.
