Daily Folio A6

I was debating between the Daily Folio and the Field Folio (also A6). I really liked the handle on the Field Folio and the pockets. I carry two Avec-sized Hobonichi books, one a half year planner and one a regular notebook, so the slidey pocket on the left hand side would have come in handy for me. I also don't need all the elastic loops that the Daily has. I find sticking my pen on the right hand of the notebook works best for me. I put a usb drive in the little loop for now. The reasons I went for the Daily Folio was the zipper design, it has no gaps; on the left, the pocket is open at the top, and is tighter, making it more secure for things like a passport- also has a fuzzy soft liner. The Daily Folio has enough pockets for me so far, there is the slidey pocket on the right, and then a smaller top opening pocket, and then the two pockets on the left. The size is a smidge smaller than the Field but probably neglible. The one thing I do wish the Daily had even more than the handle, is a back pocket on the exterior. That would be awesome and not detract from the streamlined design. (I don't think the Field Folio A6 has this pocket either). For instance, just this morning I had a receipt I wanted to save and since I was driving, had to wait to open the folio, the exterior pocket could have corralled this better until I was able to place it inside the folio. So I've been on the hunt for a good quality zippered folio that's roughly 5x7 for years now. I have 2 things I take with me virtually everywhere: my phone and my sketchbook. My sketchbook is in a cover with some drawing tools that makes the whole thing about the size of an A6 notebook. The other wish I had is that I want it to lay flat on my desk when not in use, so I can just scoop up the whole shebang when I need to go somewhere, but it can't be too bulky.

Most folios aren't the right size or no zip or too bulky or over-decorated or too expensive or have too much storage space (yes, too much - if I have it I want to fill it and I am incapable of NOT filling it, apparently)...WHEW. This one though is nearly perfect. It's slightly bulky when it sits on my desk, but it's the least bulky one I've used.

The feel in hand is incredible, just like every other Lochby product I have (which is a lot), the build quality is top-notch and it looks damn good. It bulks up when you want to put stuff in it, but slims down when you have less stuff - it's malleable but also sturdy; not as stiff as the Field Folios but not as floppy as the Quattro.

Lochby's products are high quality and their customer service is amazing, Liz in particular. The only downside is that if you buy one product, chances are you'll buy a lot more of them - sorry in advance to your bank account.
