How It Works
Signature hook closure
One-handed open and close — no zipper fumbling, no two-handed fidgeting. Click it shut and it stays shut on the move.
Rotating strap connection
The strap swivel adjusts without taking the bag off. It moves with your body, not against it.
More room than it looks
At 3 liters, it carries a full EDC load — phone, wallet, iPad Mini, notebook, pens — without the boxy silhouette of a bigger sling.
Honeycomb interior
The high-contrast lining means you see everything at a glance. No digging.
Waxed canvas build
Weather-resistant and fully vegan. Gets better-looking with every scratch and wear mark.

FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
What can it carry?
Your daily essentials — phone, wallet, keys, compact camera, notebook, pens, and even small tablets or e-readers. It’s roomier than most minimalist slings but still never feels bulky. Fits up to a hardcover A5 notebook comfortably.
Which LOCHBY products fit inside?
It fits the LOCHBY Sidekick, Pocket Journal, and Mini Field Journal perfectly, but not A5 or B5-sized journals or folios (like the Field Journal, Field Folio A5, or Field Folio B5).
What is the longest length the strap can extend to?
The strap extends from a minimum of 29.5" (75 cm) to a maximum of 55" (140 cm).
Is it water-resistant?
The waxed canvas provides dependable water resistance for light rain and splashes. It’s not fully waterproof—use a dry bag for heavy downpours or submersion.
Is it comfortable for all-day wear?
Yes. The lightweight construction and easy-adjust strap reduce shoulder fatigue for extended carry.
Will it stay put while walking or biking?
Yes. The quick‑adjust strap lets you snug it to your body so it sits naturally on the hip and stays stable in motion.
How secure is the closure?
The signature hook fastens quickly and is designed to stay closed during normal movement, while letting you open/close one-handed faster than a zipper.
Is the interior easy to organize?
Yes. The honeycomb-lined interior helps you see and sort gear quickly so you’re not digging for essentials.
What makes the Field Sling different?
Three things: the hook opens faster than a zipper with one hand; the rotating strap means you adjust once and forget it; and the waxed canvas builds character instead of wearing out. Most slings do one of those. This one does all three.
What is it made of?
A rugged, weather-resistant waxed canvas exterior with a high‑visibility honeycomb interior lining for easy item spotting.
Can I wear it on the front or back?
Yes. Wear it crossbody on the front for quick access or on the back for a lower-profile carry; adjust the strap for a secure fit.
Is the latch noisy or fiddly?
No. The hook has a deliberate click — secure without being loud. You'll open it hundreds of times without thinking about it.
How do I care for the waxed canvas?
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid machine wash/dry. Re-wax periodically to maintain water resistance and the material’s patina.
