I love this little case. I am a tapestry weaver so I am using it to hold my tapestry bobbins when I travel. Keeps them safe so they won't get broken. Also enough room for a small pair of scissors, a short ruler, and a shedding stick I know this is for pens/pencils but hey why not use it for tapestry bobbins too. I do have a pencil in there!!
This item has great craftmanship. well designed and durable.
My Quattro arrived this morning and I can tell it will be a welcome addition to my EDC gear. It's quite well built and a great piece of gear. The staggered alignment of the pens is very effective. It's worth confirming the length of the pens you want to store in a Quattro. My TWSBI Ecos are a loose fit with length to spare. TWSBI 700R's fit fine, using the full length of the pen sleeves. Oversize pens such as the Opus 88 Demo and Omar pens fit but crowd the length of the case. Normal size pens, such as a Waterman I have, fit great and the pens are well protected. I'm very happy with the Quattro.
I've bought multiple full grain leather pen cases. The Quatro is my first Lochby purchase. I LOVE this pen case! I have a TWSBI, Lamy Al-star, and two Kaweco Liliputs inside, and I have my more frequently used items in the outside front pocket - including a mechanical pencil, Kaweco Sketch-up eraser, and a brass ruler. The case is compact, and fits in my small backpack easily, along with a couple of books, a coin purse, phone, keys, and sunglasses. Very nice product, great customer service!
I have the old and new Quattro. The new Quattro - released in mid 2022 - has all the pen slots aligned at the top, whereas the old version had reversed openings on the other panel. While the old Quattro is usable, the new design is better. The front pocket is useful to store small items, like an eraser, cards, or lead refills. The back pocket has a hook-and-loop closure, I think one could safely store small items like SD cards in plastic cases. The interior orange lining is a nice contrast to the brown canvas. The only complaint I have about the Quattro is the use of a plastic zipper instead of a metal one. Though the zipper bears the renowned name of YKK, I still think it is more fragile than a quality metal zipper. I hope it does last in the long run. I would like to take this opportunity to say that the Lochby customer support is SUPERB. The person I dealt with was kind, understanding, and flexible. I would purchase Lochby products again as I am confident in their ability to provide good service to the customer.
