These are versatile to have! The format is excellent. I do wish the print was a bit darker but overall very I’m very satisfied

    Dots, dots, dots work.

The size and quality of paper plus the cover provide result in a product that is very useful and economicaI. I started with the dot refill in my Field Journal. I added three more since the Field Journal will hold them. I wanted to work with my hand writing after years of my occupation ruining any legibility I had. So, off to the dots. The dots allow me to stay close to on a line without being restricted by solid ruled lines. The dots let me change my size of letters easily as dictated by the pen I am using. I started with note taking from LOCHBY journaling and some fountain pen presentations on line. I also shifted my journaling into the A5 refill. The size allows me to pull the refill out of the Field Guide and carry if needed but also, as it gets filled up, store easily when full. At one time I did some calligraphy for personal reasons, oh so long ago, and now, as part of the desire to improve my legibility I have looked at some of the calligraphy material on line. I have printed out items of interest and glued them into one of the Refills for reference and am using the dotted pages in the Refill to practice the calligraphy. The dots again provided guidance rather than restriction in practicing the calligraphy. At times, for some other projects, I need to make some sketches that will make sense when I look back on them. The dots help this process significantly. What about beyond the dot? I have started a new Field Journal for use with a hobby organization I am involved with. I have stocked it with a blank, a lined and a calendar refill set. The combination allowed by the size of the A5 Refill permits the combination of note taking and recording, presentation design and planning and Calendar of coming events involved in the hobby. Doodling and planning

I use this book everyday, between work (production and assembly drawing), and play (Hobbiest photographer). It never leaves my everyday bag.
